Model BPS Ducks Unlimited "The Coastal" Pacific Edition pump action shotgun mfg. in Japan and imported/retailed by Browning Arms Company. Left side of the bbl. is marked with Browning's importer information above "MADE IN JAPAN", with "INVECTOR BPS SPECIAL STEEL 12GA-2 3/4" FIELD MODEL-28" marked on the right. Sides of receiver feature gold color filled scroll motifs. Left side of the receiver is marked "Browning/ BPS", followed by a riveted gold colored mallard, and "the/ Coastal", with "Ducks Unlimited/ Pacific Edition" and the S# marked on the right. Metal components (including the aluminum trigger housing) exhibit a lustrous blue finish overall. Trigger exhibits a plated finish. High grade checkered wood and finger grooved pump, with checkered wood pistol grip buttstock featuring a gold colored Ducks Unlimited logo medallion on the base on the grip and a Browning textured black ventilated rubber recoil pad. Bbl. features a threaded Full choke and a matte V/R. Exposed section of white synthetic bead front sight has broken off. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory finish, exhibiting few light superficial handling marks and spots of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows a few small superficial marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. (25-4299/MLW). MODERN. $500-800.
